Hmmm...Here is a thought from a Christian Worldview to consider. After being justified completely by Jesus, because of what Jesus did on the cross for you and I...and accepting it as Truth, God immediately begins the process of sanctification in the believer...Making that individual completely new, over time. Justification was complete through Jesus' death, sancification is the partnering with God to be made Holy...more like His Son.

17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
Accepting Jesus may be a way of being better while still human.
